Adolescent Residential Treatment Center - "The Crossings"The Crossings at Alliance Health Center is a fully operational residential treatment center providing treatment programs to severely mentally ill and oppositional males and females ages 12 to 17 and for juvenile male sex offenders ages 12 to 17. Premier programThe gender-specific programs at The Crossings are geared to help each patient focus on recovery. Therapists are located in each of the three units and nursing staff are on site 24 hours a day. Other activities include substance abuse group therapy, process groups, individual therapy weekly and groups to address physical and sexual abuse. Average length of stayWhile this varies for each individual and in each program, the average length of stay in the Conduct Disorder/Mentally Ill Units is usually between three to six months. The average length of stay in the Sexually Aggressive Program is usually six to eight months. Education mattersThe Crossings operates a fully accredited school and students attend classes seven hours per day. GED prep courses and special education courses are also offered. Recreational activities are provided at The Crossings. Working togetherAt The Crossings, we strongly encourage families to be involved as much as possible in their patient’s treatment. The first week at The Crossings, patients are not allowed phone calls. After the first week, a patient may call home up to three times per week if he or she has earned enough points for the privilege. Following upThe Crossings features a separate Case Management department that assists in discharge planning and functions as a liaison between the referring agency, probation officers and other professionals involved in the resident’s care.
