Adolescent UnitWe know that adolescents have unique psychological and emotional needs, and that they view therapy and treatment differently. An adolescent may be referred to Alliance Health Center by various referral sources such as a parent, physician, hospital, school, judge or mental health agency. Consequently, we offer a program that works with males and females 13 to 18 year olds to break the cycle of depression, rebellion or chemical dependency through inpatient treatment in a carefully organized, thoroughly supportive environment- a place where consistency is expected and treatment is tailored to each individual. This structured program consists of a diagnosis and short-term therapy including medication, individual, group, family and activity therapy. Activity therapy is an integral part of the overall program and includes arts, crafts, physical fitness and recreational activities. A school liaison works with each adolescent to continually work and maintain his or her studies while being in treatment. Alliance oversees discharge planning that includes referral sources and follow-up communication with the referring professionals. Help is Just a Phone Call Away |
