Alliance Health Center is a leading provider of psychiatric services in Mississippi. From severe mental disorders such as schizophrenia or bipolar, to more moderate disorders such as depression, stress or anxiety, Alliance Health Center offers two unique treatment programs, each with complete privacy. Our newly expanded staff, which includes 7 psychiatrists, is committed to treat every individual with dignity and respect. We are able to provide transportation to and from the hospital for those that need it, and we accept Mississippi Adult Medicaid for services.

Severe Mental Health Disorders

When your loved one is affected by a mental disorder, it is hard to know where to turn or who to talk to. Alliance Health Center is the area expert in treatment of patients with mental disorders. In our Acute Care Unit, we create a structured, safe, supervised environment to help the patient return to the healthiest, happiest life possible. The unit offers group therapy, training in independent living skills, intervention for a co-occurring mental illness, medication compliance, activity therapy and stress management courses. Because the family and social relationships are critical to effective treatment, we also involve family members in the therapeutic process. Our counselors educate family members on the patient’s needs and treatment goals, then assist them in working through their own feelings about the patient’s behavior.

Depression, Mood, & Anxiety Treatment Unit

Sometimes dealing with difficulties at home, worries at work, financial problems or grief at the loss of a loved one is overwhelming.  Depression, stress and anxiety can lead to the need for professional intervention.  If this happens, Alliance Health Center provides a separate, specially designed program. This unit includes a complete, multi-faceted therapy program with process, focus, educational and nursing therapy groups to provide a clearer and more in-depth understanding of the patient’s issues.
