Psychiatric Treatment for Adolescents

Alliance Health Center offers inpatient psychiatric care for adolescents 12 to 17 who may have severe depression, post traumatic stress, anger and rebellion causing harm to themselves or others. These mental health issues also result in the inability to function at home, school or other settings. It is intended to break the cycle of these mental health issues in a supportive, caring environment by a psychiatrist and his/her treatment team.

This structured, short-term program features medication management and group, family and recreation therapy. Adolescent patients stay on gender-specific units; boys stay on the Bridges unit while girls stay on the Reflection unit. Referrals can be made by a parent, physician, hospital, school, youth court or community mental health center.

Aftercare & Education Services

Our staff works with each adolescent and their school to maintain his or her studies during treatment. We also speak with the family or guardian on secure discharge planning which includes follow-up communication with referring professionals.
