Outpatient Substance Abuse Services for Adults

New Leaf Recovery is Alliance Health Center’s selection of outpatient services for adults who struggle with substance abuse. These programs are designed for patients age 18 and older who may benefit from substance abuse treatment, but do not require the 24-hour intensive care of an inpatient program.

Outpatient substance abuse services are offered at three levels of care to accommodate the treatment needs and schedule availability of each patient.

Partial Hospitalization

Substance abuse PHP is for patients who have completed medical detox and want to transition to long-term treatment for continued recovery progress. It is held seven days a week from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for a minimum of 21 days, though length of stay is based on individual need. Patients attend six groups a day, including AA, and see a psychiatrist once a week. Family group is offered on Saturdays at 1:30 p.m.

Intensive Outpatient Program

Substance abuse IOP takes place three times a week, day or evening. Patients meet with a psychiatrist once a month and attend four daily groups. These groups are intended to teach key factors of recovery and show a path to sober living. We require patients to attend an AA or NA meeting each night in the hope they will form a habit of utilizing recovery sources.

Spirituality group teaches patients to develop a spiritual plan of action in order to remain sober.

Self-exploration group has patients explore their past and resolve issues that could impede to a substance-free lifestyle.

Dual diagnosis group helps patients understand the co-occurring emotional disorders that often accompany substance abuse.

In homework group, patients complete a homework packet of 12-step work and other essential assignments. Patients are required to complete homework at home and present this orally in the homework group.
